What is Hebel ? - Hebel is aerated autoclaved concrete or AAC . Is has been used in the building industry for decades and is renowned for its insulation and durability properties. In a native bee hive application insulation and durability are vital for the well being of the bees. Unlike Apis bees which can easily be rehomed, native stingless bees incorporate the box as part of the colony. Longevity of the box is of paramount importance. Hebel is rot proof, termite proof, 100% dimensionally stable and highly fire resistant . Hebel also offers great insulation qualitys ,outstanding thermal mass characteristics and is cheap and easy to work with.
